Certification & Listing

Submit a strategy to the Strategy Marketplace under a codename: requirements, application and review.

Listing requirements

Once listed, your strategy appears publicly under an anonymized codename in the Strategy Marketplace, where verifiable performance can earn it more visibility and funding opportunities. Listing is also required before you can apply for group funding. Listing is voluntary, and your real identity is never made public.

Requirements for workbench strategies

At least one successful backtest: it must be a backtest run on a saved version. Trial runs the AI performs on a draft in the chat do not count.

Requirements for self-hosted strategies

Self-hosted strategies are judged on their real account record. The Distance to applying for a listing section on the record page shows your progress on each item:

RequirementDetails
At least N complete collection daysThe total number of full days read successfully. Interruptions do not reset the count.
At least N trading days with fillsThe number of those days with real fills.
Account equity of at leastAccount equity on the most recent complete day.
Median daily equity over the period of at leastShown only when the platform has set this requirement.

The exact numbers of days and amounts are those shown on the record page, and you can submit only when all are met. Until then, your record and account are kept, so keep building your record. Binance accounts must also declare at least one spot trading pair.

Why these requirements exist

Once a strategy is listed, the metrics shown in the Strategy Marketplace are fixed for others to compare, so they must rest on something that can be checked: a successful backtest, or a real account record that is long enough.

Submit a listing application

Submit and track listing applications in Certification & Listing. The page is organized by status into five tabs: Listed, Under review, Rejected, Ready to apply and Not yet eligible.

Workbench strategies

  1. On the Ready to apply tab, or on the strategy's row in My Strategies, click Apply to list.
  2. Fill in:
    • Featured Backtest: choose a successful backtest. Its metrics are shown, fixed, in the Strategy Marketplace.
    • Strategy Codename (desensitized): up to 64 characters; leave it blank to generate one automatically. You can change it only once after submitting.
    • Public Description: required, up to 2000 characters. It is shown publicly and used for review, so do not include anything that could identify you.
  3. Click Submit Application.

Self-hosted strategies

  1. Click Apply to list on the Ready to apply tab, on the strategy's row in My Strategies, or at the top of the record page.
  2. Check the Public codename and Strategy description. If you have not chosen a type before, choose a Type.
  3. Click Submit for review.

Review goes through automated checks, manual due diligence and final review, based on a snapshot of the data at the time you submitted. Data collection continues as normal during review. Individual fills are checked only by reviewers and are never made public.

Review results

You are notified in the Notifications center:

ResultWhat you need to do
ListedNothing.
Supplement requiredClick Answer the request and reply before the deadline (for self-hosted strategies, reply on the record page). If you do not reply in time, the application is rejected automatically.
RejectedRead the reason for rejection, make changes and resubmit. There is no cooldown and no limit on the number of attempts.

To withdraw an application under review, click Withdraw on the Under review tab and confirm. You can apply again afterward. Unbinding the exchange account of a self-hosted strategy also withdraws its application automatically.

After listing

  • Rating: operations assigns listed strategies a U-Grade. Until one is assigned, "Unrated" is shown.
  • Edit public information: to change the description, codename, capacity or other public information of a listed self-hosted strategy, submit the change for review by operations. The public page stays as it is until the change is approved.
  • Delist: you can delist a self-hosted strategy yourself on its record page and apply to list it again at any time. You cannot delist while group funding is in progress. Operations may also delist a strategy and will tell you why. Delisted strategies show Apply to list again on the Ready to apply tab.
  • Apply for funding: on the Listed tab, click Apply for group funding. See Apply for funding.
